GENERATIVE ART BY MATTHIAS HUBER
I’m Matthias Huber, a software developer and entrepreneur. Through Hubermat I explore visual spaces within mathematical systems, using software I developed and a personal selection of the forms that emerge.
The work lies in exploring, recognising and deciding: which state remains? Which composition holds? Which colour reveals the structure?
THE PROCESS
Self-developed software opens a mathematical space of possibilities.
Among many possible forms, individual configurations are discovered and selected.
Framing, proportion and negative space give the work its final form.
Colour reveals density, lines and transitions.
The selected composition is realised as a signed, unique physical work.
The first series emerges from a generalised Peter de Jong attractor system. Twelve parameters define a state. Repeated calculation of many points creates lines, densities and surfaces. The system is deterministic; selection, composition and colour are the personal work within it.
